Savvy Idea: Have a group of people in mind you can go to help you navigate through your career, relationships, and any aspects of life.
What if life was like running a company? How would you optimally run your business?
If I were to run my life like a company, I would try to find people who are experts at life.
People who have a lot of experience in one or many different areas of life.
People who know things I don’t know.
Many companies have a group like this: a board of directors.
The concept is similar in many ways to how boards of directors function at companies. But a key difference is that members of a personal board of directors may not even know it exists. The members won’t meet regularly, nor would they be expected to work collectively.
And that is fine, because a personal board of directors is just that—something that’s personal.
The vital point is that you have thoughtfully selected members who have diverse perspectives and experiences, and who have demonstrated that they’re willing to be there for you when you need advice.
They can answer your questions, promote you to their network, serve as a sounding board, help you find new opportunities, and play devil’s advocate as you consider your next move. (source)
These people guide the path for a company’s success.
As I think about all these things, I have started to build up a group of people I want on my board of directors. People who can help me in many areas:
How I balance work, ministry, side hustle, and life
How I plan for the future with budgeting and financial obligations
How I can look ahead in how I plan to care for a spouse and raise a family
How I make life decisions within each season life brings me through
My hope is as life continues, though my board of directors may change, I will always have people in life who will provide insight and perspective in life, or even be a sounding board for my own concerns, so I may be able to live this life as well as possible.
Questions to ponder: 🤔
Do you have a board of directors of trusted people you can go to for every aspect of your life? (relationships, career, business, family, etc…)
What are areas in your life that you need insight and perspective to help fill the gaps?

7 Money Personality Types
Discovered these money personality types recently.
I found that I’m “The Compulsive Saver”, splurging like “The Saver-Splurger” with friends, food, and practical items, and trying to get to the point where I’m “The Indifferent-To-Money”.
Which one are you?
Faith: In the World, But Not of it
In this complex generation in which we live, it is not easy for the Christian to distinguish between that which is spiritual and that which is worldly. In the Bible, Satan is called an “angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). He is a great imitator, and it is not always easy to distinguish between Satan’s world and the realm where God reigns. Jesus said that if it were possible, Satan would deceive even the elect (see Matthew 24:24).
This cosmos has its own entertainment and diversions that so permeate the atmosphere that it makes the way of the cross seem antiquated and irrelevant. In much of the entertainment media fostered by the cosmos, the name of God is profaned, sex is glamorized, and high, ethical living and Christian moral standards are laughed at.
Even many Christians are tricked into believing that they cannot enjoy life except as a member of the cosmos crowd. However, the happiest people I know are separated followers of Jesus Christ. They are not dependent upon artificial stimulants. They do not have to abuse their bodies to relax their minds. The Bible says, “In Your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).
Christianity is not a long list of restrictions. It flings open the windows to the real joy of living. The cosmos would have us believe that following Christ is nothing but “thou shalt nots.” The cosmos would have us believe that Christianity is a killjoy, a stolid kind of life, unnatural and abnormal.

Easy Product Mockups
Found this service that allows you to easily create mockups of products or services you have, mapped onto laptop, mobile, watches, and tablets.
I personally don’t have anything cool to show off, so here’s a picture of buff Kirby with a My Hero Academia “All Might” face, and my past grad pic.
I definitely hope to use the service when I do have a product or service to show off in the future, as I hope you will to (especially if you have a product)!

Weekly Update
Personal life stuff… 🔔
Hello friends,
Greetings from Austin! 👋 Let’s jump right in!
This past week was a blast. I got a nice break, going back to Dallas for the week to spend time with family, while coming back to Austin just yesterday.
One day, Dallas won’t be home, so I’m trying to enjoy it while it lasts.
(Unfortunately, home is also where fitness and healthy foods are subtracted out of life, but we work with these minor “setbacks”)
That aside, I’ve been spending some time brainstorming on this newsletter, and I’ve iterated on what value prop I have to offer. With the help from a marketer from my company, I got an improved tagline:
